A semi-truck overturned on a southbound I-75 entrance ramp in Wapakoneta on Friday afternoon, closing both lanes south of US-33.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Jason Reichart, 24, was merging on to southbound I-75 from eastbound US-33, when, shortly after 1 p.m., the truck rolled onto its driver's side.

Reichart sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries in the incident.

Reichart was airlifted via Life Flight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where he is being treated for his injuries.

Highway Patrol, St. John's Fire, Wapakoneta Fire, and ODOT were on the scene of the accident.

Investigators believe speed played a role in the semi's overturning.

Both southbound lanes and the entrance ramp from US-33 were reopened by 4 p.m.
