School board to vote on new football coach

February 20, 2014

Travis Moyer will be recommended for approval to be hired as the new head varsity football coach at Wapakoneta High School, it was announced Thursday afternoon in an email from Wapakoneta City Schools Athletic Director Brad Rex.

Members of the Wapakoneta City Schools board of education will vote on the recommendation Tuesday at their monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Cridersville Elementary School in Cridersville.

Rex said Thursday night Moyer plans to attend the board meeting.

A majority vote in favor of the hiring is needed for it to be approved.

Rex said he anticipates no issues with Moyer being approved as coach at the meeting Tuesday.
