Sadie Esque, 83

Sadie V. Esque, 83, of Wapakoneta, formerly of Logan W. Va., died at 7:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at the Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born March 1, 1928, in Morehead, Ky., the daughter of Lillie (Mathews) and Ott Terry, who preceded her in death. On June 28, 1948, she married Rezin J.(Joe) Esque, and he died Aug. 20, 1995.
Surviving are a son, Larry Rezin (Lynn) Esque, of Shreveport, La.; two daughters, Arlene (Scott) Rounce, of Irvine, Calif., Debra Lynn “Deb” Conrad (Dan Hanby), of Wapakoneta; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Lucy Hinton, of Mansfield; a brother, Isaac A. (Jean) Terry, of Grafton; three sisters, Vada (William) Green, of Sullivan; Reba (John) Spencer, of Wapakoneta, Jean (Steve) York, of Oberlin; and numerous nieces & nephews.
A homemaker, Sadie was a member of the Christian Victory Tabernacle in Wapakoneta. She was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Auglaize Co. Chapter 73 Auxiliary, as her husband Rezin was a prisoner of war during World War II. An avid doll collector, her other hobbies included art, crafts, and reading.
Services are at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Marcus Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
