Ruth Walther, 94

Ruth L. Walther, 94, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at her residence.
She was born May 15, 1918, in Duchouquet Township, Auglaize County, the daughter of Edith (Mosler) and Isidor Schneider, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 14, 1941, she married F. Dean Walther, and he died Feb. 13, 1995.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen (Don) Numbers, of Wapakoneta; a son, Dennis (Beverly) Walther, of Wapakoneta; seven grandchildren, Sherrie (Terry) Kah, Julie (Dave) McGinnis, Tracy (Richard) Blake, Kimberly (Jay) Swiecki, Amanda Sheipline, Ashley (Brian) Short, and Shannon Walther; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janell (Paul) Lochard, of Wapakoneta.
Ruth had worked 25 years in the cafeteria at the Cridersville School of Wapakoneta City Schools. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran church in Wapakoneta, and a 1936 graduate of Blume High School. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, and playing Bunko.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, State Route 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Mark Bauer officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
