Ruth Hindenlang, 94

Ruth A. Hindenlang, 94, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:32 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born April 24, 1918, in Hopewell Township, Mercer County, the daughter of Anna (Johns) and Otto Earl Wade, who preceded her in death. In 1937, she married William Howard Hindenlang, and he died July 29, 1966.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jane (Jerry) Shaner, of Lima; four sons, Jack (Joann) Hindenlang, of Wapakoneta, Robert (Judy) Hindenlang, of Lima, Terry (Karen) Hindenlang, of Lima, and Michael (Kim) Hindenlang, of Waynesfield; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Floyd (Edith) Wade, of Spencerville; and two special nieces, Sharon Mays and Becky Dircksen.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Rose Fredricks, and infant Martha Jane Hindenlang; a brother, Arthur Wade; and four sisters, twins Lela Goodpaster and Lila Carmean, Evelyn Thomas and Dorothy May.
Ruth was a homemaker and provided child care in her home. She enjoyed reading, embroidery, and cooking.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Dan Holbrook officiating. Burial is to follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
