Ruth Epperson, 76

Ruth Ann Epperson, 76, of Wapakoneta, died peacefully at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor with her family at her side.
She was born Jan. 13, 1937, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Florence (Trego) and Richard F. South, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 13, 1959, she married Harold John Epperson, and he survives.
Also surviving are a daughter and fiancée, Vicki (Dustin Clayton) Epperson, of Wapakoneta; five grandchildren, Ashley Epperson, of Lima, Allison Erb, of Wapakoneta, Katherine Clayton, of Wapakoneta, Zachary Closson, of Wapakoneta, and Andrew Clayton, of Wapakoneta; two great-granddaughters, Haylie Warner, of New Knoxville, and Laken Blanton, of Lima; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard H. South.
Ruth Ann retired in 1987 from the Holiday Inn in Wapakoneta. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wapakoneta. She loved to read, watch TV, and spend time with her family and her cat, Oscar.
Funeral services will be Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. R.J. Davis officiating. Burial is to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
