Ruth Cook, 87

Ruth E. Cook, 87, of Spencerville, died at 8:45 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 9, 1925, in Bellefontaine, the daughter of Blanche and Harry Patrick, who preceded her in death. She married Robert E. “Jack” Cook, who died March 7, 2006.
She is survived by her extended family, Katie Cotterman, of Spencerville, Greg (Terri) Spence, of Spencerville, Deniese (Alan) Margraves, of Wapakoneta, and Becky (Dave) Brown, of Wapakoneta; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Spencerville United Methodist Church of Christ. She was a lifetime member of the Bowersock Brothers VFW Post 6772 and the Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191, both of Spencerville. She and her husband had volunteered many years at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville. She was a 1943 graduate of Spencerville High School.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with the Rev. Elaine Mikesell officiating. Burial will follow in Spencerville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be given to the Roselawn Manor Activities Fund.
