Rosemary Serr, 83

Rosemary Eileen Serr, 83, of Jackson Center, passed away at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at Dorothy Love Retirement Home in Sidney.
She was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Auglaize County, the daughter of the late Ida (Wierwille) and Lawrence Schroer. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Willis Schroer. On Nov. 28, 1946, in Jackson Center, she married Edison Serr and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1999.
Surviving are a daughter, Iva (Steve) Lenhart, of Sidney; a son, Fritz (Deb) Serr, of Botkins; six grandchildren, Aaron (Holly) Lenhart, of Jackson Center, Heather Fausnaugh, of Canton, Ga., Adam (Angela) Lenhart, of Woodstock, Ga., Haley Lenhart, of Canton, Ga., Jesse (Lucy) Serr, of Botkins and Garrett (Meghan) Serr, of Jackson Center; nine great-grandchildren, Andrew Lenhart, Bailey Fausnaugh, Hunter Lenhart, Adalyn Lenhart, Alden Lenhart, Raegan Serr, Isabella Serr, Preston Serr and Brendan Serr; a sister, Anna (Loren) Lunz, of Cridersville; a brother, Donald Schroer, of Wapakoneta; sister-in-law, Jean Schroer, of Wapakoneta, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Willis Schroer.
She was employed at Holloway Sportswear in Jackson Center having retired in 1998. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center and loved going to Fair Haven Day Care.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center, the Rev. Kent Hollis officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith-Eichholtz Funeral Home in Jackson Center and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will follow at Loramie Valley Cemetery in Botkins.
