Roots & Shoots ready for Spring

It took a while, but it's finally spring, and that's good news for area gardeners, as The Auglaize Roots and Shoots Garden Club are now getting into the full swing of things.

One of the group's main projects is the downtown Wapakoneta urns that line Auglaize Street, which members from the club maintain for the city throughout the year.

Jim Kohler, a member of the club, helps fulfill the club's responsibilities.

"The club maintains the urns all summer," Kohler said. "We plant them, we weed them, we water them, take care of them. We do everything."
