Rollover crash

August 12, 2011

The Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Patrol investigated a one-car crash on U.S. 33 Friday. A passenger in the vehicle was transported from the scene. An officer said a female driver, a male passenger, and a child passenger were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. No other information was available.

UPDATE:
Further information revealed that in fact a male driver had been driving the vehicle after investigation was done by the OSP.
Brien Woolf, 25, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier owned by Jessica Schmidt, 21, of the same Celina address, east on 33 when Woolf said he tried to remove a moth from inside the car and drove off the left side of the road, striking a guardrail and overturning the car, which came to rest on its top, in the median, according to a report from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Woolf; Schmidt, who was a passenger; and Jethrow Tuttle, 2, also of the same Celina address, were all properly restrained but suffered nonincapacitating injuries. They were all transported by Wapakoneta Rescue Squad to Lima Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The car, which Woolf was driving 68 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone, was severely damaged.
Woolf was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
