Rodney Whetstone, 48

Rodney A. Whetstone, 48, of Wapakoneta, died Monday morning, Feb. 27, 2012, at his brother’s home in Okeana.
He was born Jan. 7, 1964, in Lima, the son of Connie (Link) and Robert Whetstone, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Ginny (Thomas Anderson) Rohrer, of Wapakoneta; a step-son, Jaye Helton, Lima; a granddaughter, Kendall Anderson; two brothers, Tony (Brenda) Rohrer, of Okeana, and Jason Rohrer, of Mulberry Grove, Ill.
Rodney was a self-employed contractor. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during the Libyan War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, but most especially spending time with his family.
Services are at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Long & Folk Chapel, 13 S. Blackhoof St., Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Jon Spyker officiating.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
