Robert Tabler, 75

Robert L. “Bob” Tabler, 75, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:45 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at Auglaize Acres in Wapakoneta.
He was born July 28, 1936, in Wapakoneta, the son of Lydia E. (McCullough) and John A. Tabler, who preceded him in death. On March 28, 1959, he married Avalene “Avie” King, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Steven Tabler, of Wapakoneta, and Greg (Mindy) Tabler, of Wapakoneta; four grandchildren, Hannah Tabler, Cale Tabler, Benjamin Tabler, and Joshua Tabler; a sister, Linda (Pat) Brennan, of Wakarusa, Ind.; and a sister-in-law, Mary Tabler, of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in by a brother, John W. Tabler, Jr.
Bob was a self-employed plastering contractor. A 1954 graduate of Blume High School, he was an M1 rifle expert in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of Brands Lake Fishing Club, and his hobbies included hunting , fishing, woodworking, and watching racing.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Steven Nelson officiating. Burial is to following the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
