Robert A. Nimmons, 93

Robert A. Nimmons, 93, of Cridersville, died at 7:16 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born Oct. 18, 1919, in Plymouth, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nimmons. He was married for 52 years to Dorothy Marie Stang who preceded him in death. He is survived by a long time fiancée — Delores Stahler of Lima.
Mr. Nimmons worked as a salesman at Central Petroleum Company. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Wapakoneta. He was an avid and skilled craftsman with stained glass, a 32-degree Mason also a long time member of the Elk Lodge 1170 in Wapakonetea.
Mr. Nimmons was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II.
He is survived by two children, Deborah A. (Richard) Raup and Eva Jean (Preston Brown) Kasten; three grandchildren Rebecca Speich, David Raup and Nora Kasten; and one great grandchild Dylan Speich.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral services will begin 4 p.m., Saturday, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. with the Chaplin Lynn Huffman and the Rev. R.J. Davis officiating.
Following the service will be a celebration of food and fellowship in the community room at Otterbein-Cridersville Retirement Center.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
