Robert L. Miller, 84

Robert L. Miller, 84, of Lima, died at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Van Wert County Inpatient Hospice. He was born on Jan. 16, 1929, in Lima, to John Lawrence and Pearl Arizona Roberts Miller. He married Betty Jean Myers on Feb. 1, 1947, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 23, 2011.

Mr. Miller had been a parts expeditor for Superior Coach Corporation. He attended Abundant Life Temple and loved gardening.

Survivors include five children:  Nancy L. Williams of St. Henry, Robert L. (Vicki) Miller of Union, Ky., Betty (Steve Harruff) Theis of Spencerville, Linda (Bryan) Sealscott of St. Henry and Diana Lynn (Kenny) Harner  of Lima; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; four brothers:  Eldon (Marian) Miller of Lima, John (Barbara) Miller of Lima, Richard (Betty) Miller of Elida and Ronald (Cheryl) Miller of Columbus; three sisters: Erma Gross of Wapakoneta, Helen (Floyd) Gross of Wapakoneta and Shirley (Mike) Stanley of Muskogee, Okla.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Donald Miller, Sr., Roger Miller and Larry Miller, and five sisters: Marcella Pitchford, Betty Eberle, and Mary, Ruth and Carolyn Miller.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville.

The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at the funeral home, with Rev. Charles H. Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lima.

Memorial contributions may be given to Community Health Professionals Hospice or to Friends Church in Spencerville.
