Rita Anthony, 57

Rita S. Anthony, 57, of Wapakoneta, died at 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Oct. 24, 1954, in Lima, the daughter of Cicely (Cloude) and John R. Franz, who preceded her in death. On July 30, 1976, she married Bruce D. Anthony, and he survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sara Anthony, of Wapakoneta; extended family, Ashley Nicole Day, Emily J. Rodhe, and Rhonda Kohler; a sister, Lois Souder, of Waynesfield; six brothers, John M. Franz, of Ft. Myers, Fla., Harry Schurr, of Detroit, Mich., Tony Franz, of Ft. Myers, Fla., Chris Franz, of Bradenton, Fla., Tim Franz, of Bradenton, Fla., and Nick Franz, of Bradenton, Fla.; her mother-in-law, Joyce Anthony, of Wapakoneta; seven brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stephen (Margaret) Anthony, Rev. Angelo Anthony, Nicholas (Kim) Anthony, Bart (Kim) Anthony, Marisa (James) Campagna, Andrea (William III) O’Meara, Colette (Kelly) Knutzen; and numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles R. “Charlie” Anthony.
A homemaker, Rita was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. She dearly loved her family, friends, and pets especially her cats. She was a supporter of the Auglaize County Humane Society.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Angelo Anthony officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta.
