Richard A. Wagner, 72, of Cridersville, died at 4:59 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Cleveland Clinic.
He was born June 10, 1941 in Lima, to Eunice E. (Gattshall) and Randal R. Wagner Sr. Both parents preceded him in death. On Nov. 28, 1963, he married Phyllis J. Walter, who survives in Cridersville.
He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Fryburg, and a member of Eagles Lodge 691 in Wapakoneta. Richard was a former hair and make-up specialist for the Amil Teller Theater and a member of the N.R.A. He was the former manager at J.C. Penney Hair Salon, and former owner of Mr. Richard Hair Salon and Poor Richard’s Styling Salon.
Survivors are a son Randy (Joni) Wagner, of Loveland; a daughter Sara J. Wagner-Miller, of Wapakoneta; a brother, Verlin “Tony” (Ruth) Wagner, of Bloomdale; five grandchildren, Jacob L. Miller, Zachary A. Miller, Danielle K. Miller, Taylor Wagner, and Andrew “A.J.” Wagner; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Don(Evelyn) Wagner and Randal R. (Cletus) Wagner Jr.
The family plans to receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home in Cridersville.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church in Fryburg, with the Rev. Oscar Seger officiating.
