Regina B. Aselage, 97, formerly of McCartyville, died Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Dorothy Love Nursing Home.
She was born May 3, 1914 in St. Patrick, to the late Anna (Schmitmeyer) and Henry Hoying. On Aug. 17, 1939, she married Clemens J. Aselage and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2011.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, William and Joan Aselage, of Orange Park, Fla., Thomas and Janet Aselage, of Tipp City, Jerome and Sharon Aselage, of Wapakoneta, Clem Jr. and Sherry Aselage, of Dayton, Dennis and Janet Aselage, of Sidney, Leonard Joseph Aselage, of Sidney, John and Teresa Aselage, of Anna; 21 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; brothers Jerry Hoying, of Greenville, Tony Hoying, of Florida, Linus and Mary Hoying, of Fort Loramie, Gene and Pat Hoying, of Florida, Pat and Patty Hoying, of Minster; sister-in-laws Nancy Hoying, of Dayton, Liz Hoying, of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandchild, brothers and sisters Anna Marie and Greg Eilerman, Louise and Alfred Boerger, Bernadette and Paul Gaier, Edwin and Anna Marie Hoying, Henry Hoying; sister-in-laws, Mary (Jerry) Hoying and Mary (Tony) Hoying.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in McCartyville, the Rosary Alter Sodality of the Church, and the Farm Bureau.
A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCartyville, with the Revs. John Tonkin and Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in McCartyville.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the church.
