The Minster Wildcats posted a 180-206 win over the Wapakoneta Redskins in a varsity girls golf match Tuesday at the Wapakoneta Country Club.
Wapak sent out just four players as No. 2 golfer Shelby Kohler missed her second-straight match with an illness.
Courtney Knippen and Hannah Smith both carded 47’s to lead the Redskins. It was a personal-best round for Smith.
“Even though we did not come out with a win tonight the ladies played much more in control of their games,” Wapak coach Dawn West said. “It was a nice comeback from last night’s match. ...
[Hannah] really stayed focused through out the entire match along with a great attitude. Hopefully this a constant score from her that we can count each time we are out.”
Medalist was Minster’s Margo Slonkosky with a 42.
For Wapak, Bryly Beaman and Zoe Rayburn each turned in a 56.
