If you pay for electricity, refuse and recycling in the city of Wapakoneta, you may want to take note of an upcoming meeting.

The Wapakoneta City Council’s Utilities Committee and Finance Committee are holding a joint meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday to discuss those issues.

The first part of the meeting will be devoted to electric rates. The previous joint meeting of the two committees resulted in a recommended $4 per month year increase in the customer charge over the next three years. The question that remains is how much does the electric power rate have to climb to ensure revenue is matching service.
