Potty talk sparks voting deal

Neumeier

The possible purchase of self-contained bathroom for one city park and another possible one at a second city park fueled a discussion between a Wapakoneta City Council member and a city administrator.
During Monday’s Wapakoneta City Council meeting, 1st Ward Councilor Jim Neumeier questioned the wisdom in expending the money for self-contained systems when portable facilities would be sufficient at Breakfast Optimist Park and a storage building purchased by the city from Wapakoneta City Schools was to be converted into permanent bathroom for men and women.
He also voiced reservations about city crews having to pump out the raw sewage out and to pump clean water into these restroom facilities.
