Paul T. ‘Tom’ Connors Sr., 63

Paul T. “Tom” Connors Sr., 63, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.
He was born July 23, 1950, in Estil, Ky., the son of Valley (Cooley) and Thomas Burton Connors, who preceded him in death. On April 9, 2010, he married Kathy Wagner, and she survives.
Other survivors include three children, Brenda (Ron) Rupard, of St. Marys, Paul T. Connors Jr., of Wapakoneta, and Lacey Connors, of Portsmouth; two stepchildren, Jeffrey Christian, of St. Marys, and Nichole (Danny) Walden, of Speedwell, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Mary (Melvin) Norton, of Celina, and Charlene Connors, of St. Marys, and Patty Connors, of St. Marys.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Ray Connors; and an infant sister, Shirley Ann Connors.
Tom retired from Crown Equipment in New Bremen. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He attended the Only Believe Ministries, in Botkins, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 691, Wapakoneta. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and watching wrestling on TV.
Funeral services are to be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, on State Route 501, in Wapakoneta. Burial is to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, where military rites are to be conducted by the Wapakoneta VFW, Post 8445.
The family plans to receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
