P. Jeanne McFarland, 78

P. Jeanne McFarland, 78, of St. Marys, died at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in St. Marys.
She was born Aug. 23, 1932, in Logan Co. On Oct. 14, 1968, she married William “Bill” McFarland, and he survives in St. Marys.
Also surviving are two sisters, Barb “Toni” Koch, of Toledo, MaryGene Harman, of Maryland; numerous nieces & nephews, including Teri, Mike, Ryan, and Kim Yahl, and Mike and Tim Harman; a sister-in-law, Susie Thompson; and two brothers-in-law, P.J. Burnett, and John McFarland.
She was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Bill and Evelyn Covault; a sister, Barney; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Louise and Fritz McFarland; and a sister-in-law, Connie Copeland.
Jeanne worked as a manager and waitress at the Ohio Bar in Wapakoneta. She also worked at the Lucky Star and Band Stand, both of Lima. She was a member of the St. Marys V.F.W., Post 9289 Auxiliary, and the South Shore Sportsman Club. A great cook, she enjoyed boating, and baking and making birthday cakes.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
