The Wapakoneta Noon Optimist Club has teamed up with the Wapakoneta WaterPark to host the first annual Carnival at the WaterPark event this Wednesday from noon to 7 p.m.

The event, which is aimed toward the youth of the community, will feature eight games such as water bowling, catch a duck, ring toss, spray away and Frisbee tic-tac-toe, among others.

There will also be several water-related door prizes given away throughout the day, including items such as snorkels, goggles, squirt guns and more.

“Goody bags” filled with pens, pencils, crayons, bouncy balls and sidewalk chalk will be given away to the first 500 children in attendance.
