Opal Hunter, 79, 404 E. South St., Botkins, died at 8:45 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at her residence.
She was born July 28, 1933, in War Branch, Ky., the daughter of Alice (Caldwell) and McKinley Napier, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 17, 1951, she married Chester Hunter, who died July 17, 1996.
Surviving are four daughters, Jewel Wehner, of New Knoxville, Patty (Dave) Opperman, of Wapakoneta, Pamela (Willis) Rehn, of Botkins, and Kimberly (Terry) Withrow, of Wapakoneta; a son, James (Pam) Hunter, of Wapakoneta; four sisters, Shirley Jones, of Kentucky, Geraldine Roark, of Kentucky, Mowdy Eaton, of Kentucky, and Rachel Estes, of Kentucky; and a brother, Letcher Napier, of Kentucky
She was preceded in death a son, Rex Hunter; a great-grandchild, Trenton Albers; and five siblings.
She was a homemaker. Her favorite pastimes included sewing and writing poetry
Private family services will be held. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville.
