Nicholas E. Miller, 59

Nicholas E. Miller, 59, of New Bremen died on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at 6:02 p.m. at the Cleveland Clinic, following a brief illness.  

He was born on March 2, 1953, in Lima.  He was the son of Betty (Moran) and George Miller, both of whom preceded him in death.  On April 20, 1979, he married Debra Wright who survives in New Bremen.  

Also surviving are his daughters, Jenny (Doug) Meyer, of McCartyville, and Katie (Curt) Kremer, of Minster; his grandchildren, Derek Meyer and Haley and Austin Kremer; his brothers, Mike (Mary) Miller, of Botkins, Bill (Shery) Miller, of Wapakoneta, Rich (Beth) Miller, of Uniopolis, and Roger (Jody) Miller, of Buckland, and his sister Mary (John) McAlpine of Ponte Vedra, Fla.  Other survivors include his mother and father-in-law Jerry and Joan Wright, of Wapakoneta; and his in-laws Jan Miller, of Wapakoneta, Donna  and Don Hess, of St. Henry, and Don and Mary Wright, of Wapakoneta.  Preceding him in death was his brother, Joe Miller.

Nick was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen.  He was a member of the Crown Equipment Corp. 25-year club and a member of the F.O.E. 691 of Wapakoneta.  

He was a 1971 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Wapakoneta.  He was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor at Crown Equipment Corp. of New Bremen for over 39 years.  He enjoyed sports, cooking, making trips to nearby casinos and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen with the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating.  Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.  

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 until 8 p.m. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and on Monday from 9:30 until 10 a.m. at the church at which time the Rosary will be prayed.
