Nettie Davis, 92

Nettie M. Davis, 92, of Vandalia, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Otterbein-Cridersville.
She was born July 28, 1920, in Logan County, the daughter of Martha (Giberson) and Frank Walters, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 8, 1939, she married Floyd L. Davis, and he died July 5, 2008.
Survivors are two sons, Kenneth L. (Charlene) Davis, of Vandalia, and F. Keith (Cheryl) Davis, of Chapmanville, W. Va.; a son-in-law, Darrell Hampp, of Wapakoneta; nine grandchildren, Wendi, Bill, Marianne, Brittany, Sarah, Jarrod, Kelly, Josie, and John; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne L. Hampp; and four siblings, Ruth Collins, Toby Walters, Bradley Walters, and Lawrence Walters.
A homemaker, Nettie loved music, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She was a former member of Salem United Methodist Church in Wapakoneta, where she taught Sunday school. She was a member of Westview United Methodist Church in Cridersville and the Lakeview Senior Citizens.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Russ Gumm officiating. Burial is to follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
