Nancy Mort, 68

Nancy Jo Miller Klopfenstein Mort, 68, died Sept. 14, 2011, following an extended illness.
She was the third daughter of the late Retha (Reed) and Joseph Miller of Wapakoneta. She married Ivan Klopfenstein in Jackson Center and had two sons, Terry and Christopher. She then married Daniel Mort of Lima and became stepmother of four children, Todd, Randy, Kenny and Sheila.
She was grandmother to Michael, Michelle, Stephanie, Danielle and Steven.
Most of her life, Nancy worked in various aspects of the food and beverage service. She was athletic, especially good at horseback riding and bowling. Other interests included following the fortunes of Florida’s football and basketball teams, NASCAR racing, and pontoon boating on central Florida’s inland waterways.
Per her request, there will be no formal services.
Family and friends are invited for a gathering in remembrance on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Wapakoneta Eagles.
