Nancy L. Bailey, 72

Nancy L. Bailey, 72, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, in Wapakoneta Manor, where she resided for six years.
She was born Sept. 27, 1939, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Ruth E. McClintock and Harold J. Seitz, who are deceased. On July 21, 1962, she married Marion F. Bailey, who died April 19, 2004.
Mrs. Bailey was a 1956 graduate of Blume High School, in Wapakoneta, and a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She went on to earn her master’s degree at Wright State University.
She taught second grade for 32 years at West School in St. Marys and after retirement she taught G.E.D. classes for six years at the Auglaize County Library.
She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church and its adult choir and the Wapakoneta Womens Club.
She loved music, reading and playing piano.
She was a member of the BGSU Alumni and Northwest Ohio Tractor Pullers. She and Marion traveled to Hawaii yearly.
She is survived by a son, John F. Bailey, and a grandson, Gavin Michael Bailey, both of Wapakoneta.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, State Route 501, in Wapakoneta, with the Revs. Steve Nelson and Wayne Lee officiating. Burial is to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, the Auglaize County Public Library, or to the Wapakoneta School Band.
