Myrtle Lietz, 92

Myrtle Mae Lietz, 92, formerly of 601 S. Main St., St .Marys, and a resident of the St. Marys Living Center, died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born May 6, 1919, in Clay Township, Augalize County, the daughter of Nancy (Brackney) and Osborn Dudgeon. On Dec. 16, 1939, she married Ned Lietz and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1999.
Surviving are a son, James (Carol) Lietz, of Dickson, Tenn.; two daughters, Faye (James) Hirt, of Holland, Mich. and Donna (Dean) Kentner, of Wapakoneta; seven grandchildren, Mark Lietz, Michael Lietz, Melissa Lietz, Julie Fleming, Brenda Pratt, Angela Meyer, Michael Kentner; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Cameo Dudgeon, of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Michelle Lietz; two sisters, Ethel Lamson and Opal Kaeck; three brothers, Leslie Dudgeon, Leonard Dudgeon, and Wilbur Dudgeon; and a great-grandson, Charlie Pratt.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys, and the Women’s Guild of the church. She was a member of the St. Marys Senior Citizens. She will be remembered as a person who enjoyed helping others and was always generous with her time.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home in Saint Marys, with the Rev. Dr. Ed Bray officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to Grand Lake Hospice.
