Myron ‘Sam’ Katterheinrich, 86

Myron “Sam” Katterheinrich, 86, of 216 W. Spring St., New Knoxville, died suddenly at 11:24 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, in Lima.
He was born Oct. 17, 1925, in New Knoxville, the son of Ida (Schultz) and Samuel Katterheinrich, who preceded him in death.
He married Joanne Koenig on August 23, 1947, and she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his four children, Connie Schwabero, of Reading, Michigan, Nancy Selby, of New Knoxville, Martin Katterheinrich, of Defiance, and John Katterheinrich, of New Knoxville.
He served two years in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Funeral rites are to be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the New Knoxville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Gaertner officiating.
Private family burial rites are to be held at the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, in New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys.
