Myra J. Millirans, 89, arrived peacefully at her heavenly home on Aug. 2, 2014, at 12:20 a.m. She was a resident at Morton Terrace Care Center in Morton, Ill. She had previously been a resident at the Maple Lawn Health Center in Eureka, Ill.
Myra was born March 31, 1925, in Lima, to Orville and Sarah (Skinner) Leigh who preceded her in death. On Jan. 25, 1946, she married Robert James Millirans who preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1977.
Myra was a member of East Elm Street Church of Christ in Lima and Eureka Church of Christ in Eureka. She was employed at Lazarus/Macy's for 16 years. Myra was a volunteer at Lima Memorial Hospital. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her kids, granddaughter and the family as a whole. She was a dedicated and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include, son, Jay (Tracy) Millirans, of Waynesfield, daughter, Sue (Gary) Cline, of Benson, Ill., sister, Dee (Perry) Converse, of Lima, granddaughter, Julia Millirans, two nieces, Barb (Rick) Cheney and Jane (Larry) West, and nephew, Dave (Deb) Converse.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Edward, and a step-father, C. Kenneth Shultz.
Services will be held Aug. 9, 2014, at 11 a.m., at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel. Minister Gary Cline and Jay Millirans will officiate the service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery-Elida following the service.
Friends may call Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, from 2-7 p.m., at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel.
