CRIDERSVILLE — Laughter and smiles filled the meeting room at the Cridersville Fire Station on Friday night as many families gathered for Family Movie Night to watch the movie The Croods.

The event was sponsored by Cridersville Health Care and the Cridersville Fire Department. Cridersville Health Care provides the snacks, drinks and movies, while the fire department provided a great viewing space and the proper equipment to project the movie onto the wall.

Administrator of Cridersville Health Care Nick Scheck and business office manager Aaron Maidlow arrived about an hour early to begin setting up the goodies. There were juice boxes, popcorn, cookies, fruit snacks and waters available for the kids and parents to enjoy while watching the movie.

Scheck said they just want to be a good neighbor to the people in the community.

“You know this is a small community and there are a lot of advantages to small communities,” Scheck said. “If we can have several dozen kids have a good time we want to be a part of that.”

Fire Chief Rick Miller said the fire department just enjoys showing the community that someone does care about their enjoyment.
