Missing Wapakoneta juvenile found

Wapakoneta Police officers report that a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing from her Wapakoneta home at 5:43 a.m. on Friday, June 27, has been found.

Jessica Schlegel, 13, of 417 South Pine St., was reported missing by her father, David Schlegel, of the residence.

According to police, an unknown caller phoned and said Jessica was walking in front of the city administration building, 701 Parlette Ct., at 8:02 p.m. on Monday, June 30.

Police went outside and took her into their offices, where she was interviewed. They then notified her father and released her into his custody without incident.

Jessica had been entered into a nationwide missing person’s database as a missing juvenile on Friday.
