Mary Lou Gill, 85

Mary Lou Gill, 85, died  at 6:10 a.m. Friday at Wapakoneta Manor.

She was born June 23, 1927, in Harrod, to Edna G. Mowery and Fred R. Conkle.

On July 14, 1945, she married Raymond E. Gill and he preceded her in death in July 1971.

Survivors include a son, Al (Susan) Gill, of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Beverly (Dennis) Vernon, of Wapakoneta; four grandchildren, Melissa (Randy) Rentz, Matthew Gill, Brian (Amber) Vernon, Lindsay (Benjamin) Stachowicz; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan, Andrew and Madilyn Ann.

She was precedeed in death by a daughter, Lou Ann Gill; a brother, “Jack” John Conkle; and a sister, Leona Hubbell.

Mary Lou was a member of Waynesfield Baptist Church and had retired as a cook at St. Rita’s Hospital.

She also had been a cook at Waynesfield Goshen Schools.

She was a 1945 graduate of Auglaize Rural High School.

Funeral services are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Armentrout Funeral Home, in Waynesfield, with the Rev. Don Smith officiating.

Burial is to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Lima.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 Sunday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be given in her memory to the Waynesfield Baptist Church.
