Mary Brown, 83

Mary Brown, 83, of Cridersville, formerly of Wapakoneta, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 12, 2012, at her Otterbein home.
She was the daughter of the late Francis (Steva) and Martin F. Katter. She married Dean A. Brown, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Jeffrey A. (Pat) Brown, of Wapakoneta; four daughters, Deanna M. (David) Lousche, of Indianapolis, Vickie C. (Ken) Luedeke, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Christine K. (Greg) Cline, of Sheridan, Ind., and Penny E. (Barry) Brill, of Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren; Carey Luedeke, Jesse Luedeke, Jennifer Brown, Brent Cline, Kaley Cline, Eric Brill, Andrew Brill, Jonathan Brill and Joshua Brill; two great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Lavone Katter.
She was preceded in death by a son, David K. Brown; two grandchildren, James Luedeke and Jeanne Brown; two brothers, Marvin Katter and Martin Katter Jr.
Mary was a 1948 graduate of Blume High School and attended International Business College in Fort Wayne, Ind. She was a co-owner of Brown’s Vending Service in Wapakoneta. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta. She was an active member of the Women’s Guild, Circle One, Wapakoneta Woman’s Club, Wapakoneta Senior Citizens, the Hawthorne Chapter 119 Order of the Eastern Star, St. Marys.
Services are at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta and 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
