Marjorie Stephenson, 75

Marjorie C. Stephenson, 75, 2014 Eagle Brooke Parkway, Celina, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:25 a.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013.
She was born Jan. 6, 1938, in Ohio City, to the late L. Lucille (High) and Walter C. Brown. On Feb. 6, 1960, she married Chester Lee Stephenson, who lives in Celina.
Also surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie Ann and Dr. Scott Fleck, of Celina, and Debra Lee and Jay Meyer, of Mason; four grandchildren, Hannah E. Fleck, Stephen M. Fleck, Alexis L. Meyer, and Paige M. Meyer; her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Daniel H. and Nancy L. Brown, of Huron; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marjorie L. and Elden Houts, of Celina.
Marjorie graduated from Blume High School in Wapakoneta with the Class of 1956. She was formerly employed at the First Church of God as the secretary for nine years. She was the Mercer County Recorder Deputy for several years and retired from the Lima Credit Bureau of Toledo. She was an active member of the Celina First Church of God Where she sang in the choir, served as Sunday School Teacher, superintendent, deaconess and on the church council. She was a past member of the Celina Alturian Women’s Club and a current member of the Red Hat Society. Marjorie was passionate about her family and lived for her children and grandchildren. She was proud of them and often remarked on how much joy they brought to her life.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, sparkling eyes and nurturing demeanor. Marjorie’s legacy will live on through the lessons and impression she left on all those she touched. She was a good Christian lady of great faith, who lived her life honestly with love, integrity and compassion.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Celina First Church of God, with the Rev. Bruce Strine officiating.
Friends may call from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
