Malvary Cornett, 80

Malvary Marie Cornett, 80, 224 Cherry St., St. Marys, died at 8:26 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born July 8, 1933, in Hazard, Ky., the daughter of Sara (Johnson) and Pete Ratliff. She married Kenneth L. Cornett on April 8, 1949, in Hazard, Kentucky and he survives at the residence.
She is also survived by her three daughters, Deborah (Wesley) Grant, of Martin, Tenn., Theresa (Darrell) Bayman, of St. Marys, and Tammy (Daniel) Stinebaugh, of Wapakoneta; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Cornett; and six siblings, Charles Ratliff, Herman Ratliff, James Ratliff, Donald Ratliff, Oma Mae Stanley and Mildred Begley.
Malvary retired from Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, where she had served as a nurse’s aide for many years. She enjoyed collecting movies, reading, making crafts of all kinds and sewing.
Funeral rites will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, with the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
