Lovina A. Madigan, 92

Lovina A. Madigan, 92, of Wapakoneta, died at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Wapakoneta Manor. She was born Jan. 13, 1922, in Hardin County, the daughter of Clifford and Margaret (Cook) Rostorfer, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 23, 1950, she married Raymond A. Madigan, and he survives.

Other survivors include, a daughter, Kathy (Michael) Hunt, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Justin (Sarah) Hunt, Tony (fiancée-Kenya) Hunt and Austin Hunt; four great- grandchildren, Toby, Raymond, Bella and Mason; siblings, John Rostorfer, of Delphos, and Julia Minnich, of Wapakoneta; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Judy Rostorfer, Lou Madigan, Martha Madigan and Adrian Madigan.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Frank Rostorfer.

A 1940 graduate of Blume High School, she was also a graduate of Frederick’s Beauty School, in Lima. She worked as a licensed beautician for 64 years and retired from Vesta’s Beauty Shop, in Wapakoneta. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Wapakoneta, and the K of C Council #1272, Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Wapakoneta Senior Citizens and the former St. Johns Grange. Her hobbies included playing bingo, cards, traveling and cooking, especially baking cookies.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Baylifff & Eley Funeral Home, state Route 501, Wapakoneta, with Rev. Daniel Hunt officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service, Saturday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta Manor Activity Fund or St. Rita’s Hospice.
