Loris Henry, 79

Loris Lee Henry, 79, of Belle Center, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2013 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born June 6, 1933, in Auglaize County, to the late Mary (Helmlinger) and Robert Prieser. Loris married Edison R. Henry on April 4, 1953 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and he survives in Belle Center.
Also surviving are six children, Theodore (Ruth) Henry, of Wapakoneta, Mary (Rick) Ransbottom, of Bellefontaine, Judy (William) Harshbarger, of Wapakoneta, LCDR Edison L. (Cheri) Henry, of San Diego, Calif., Joseph “Joey” (Melody) Henry, of Urbana, and Amy Henry, of Belle Center; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Col. Dale (Barbara) Prieser, of San Antonio, Texas; sister Miriam (John) Phillips, of Wapakoneta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Vergara; and a granddaughter.
Loris was a homemaker and member of the Belle Center United Methodist Church where she served as a delegate to the annual conference for 12 years. With her husband Ed, they were original members of the BMRT and she was a former Cub Scout leader.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Belle Center United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Belle Center United Methodist Church Building Fund, 101 S. Center St., Belle Center, or to BMRT, 104 W. Buckeye St. Belle Center.
