Loretta I. Bustetter, 84, of Wapakoneta, died at 4:55 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at the St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Dec. 13, 1926, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Anna (Brautigam) and Albert Seitz, who preceded her in death. On June 6, 1945, she married Alfred A. Bustetter, and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Kathy) Bustetter, of Charlotte, N.C., and David (Sara) Bustetter, of Cincinnati; two daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Davin, of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., and Debra (Todd) Meier, of Wapakoneta, 10 grandchildren, Molly (Michael) Hoffmann, Bradley (Kimberly) Davin, Bridget (James) Dwyer, Christopher Bustetter, Amanda (Jason) Alge, Abigail (Dane) Roush, Aimee Meier, Shannon, James, and Samuel Bustetter; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Bustetter; a sister, Evelyn Bustetter; and two brothers, Vernon Seitz and Eldon Seitz.
A homemaker, Loretta was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the former Christian Mothers. She was active with the Girl Scouts for over 30 years, and also volunteered at Godâ€™s Storehouse. She was a 1944 graduate of Blume High School. In years past, she enjoyed fishing and camping.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Matthew Lee officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Long & Folk Chapel of Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 13 South Blackhoof Street, Wapakoneta.
