Loraine Cecillia Garee, 82

Loraine Cecillia Garee, 82, of Lima, died at 6:15 p.m., Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at her residence in Lima surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 9, 1929, in Detroit, the daughter of Evelyn (Dubeau) and Albert Durand, who are deceased. On Oct. 9, 1947, she married Robert Eugene Garee, who died on May 9, 1990.
She is survived by seven daughters, Maryfrances Garee, Suzanne R. (Mike) Rachlin, Jeannette M. Lotzer and Jacquelyn A. Dickerson, all of Lima, Jeannine L. (Freddie Sr.) McDaniel, of Wapakoneta, Kathleen R. Hedrick, of Lancaster, and Evelyn M. Thaler, of Pickerington; three sons, Richard A. (Sue) Garee, of Elida, Robert A. (Paula) Garee, of Lima, and William J. (Diane) Garee, of Lima; 35 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen (John) Jesuslitus, of Michigan, and Ruth Ann (Dominic) Deponio, of Florida; and two brothers, Albert (Ruth) Durand, of Michigan, and Michael Durand, of Texas.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Freddie Duane McDaniel Jr.; an infant great grandson, Christopher A. Garee; a great grandson, Jacob D. Garee; an infant great granddaughter, Isabella Rose Rachlin; five sisters, Wilma Durand, Elaine Durand, Virginia Durand, Joan Mencavage and Geraldine Bauder.
Mrs. Garee was a homemaker and former owner of Bob’s Laundry and Drycleaners, American Uniform and Loraine’s Cleaners in Lima. She was a former member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, and one hour prior to the funeral at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, in Lima.
Interment is to be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
