Lois I. Bogart, 90, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Auglaize Acres in Wapakoneta.
She was born Jan 27, 1922, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Emma (Knoch) and Ray Harshbarger, who preceded her in death. On June 9, 1946 she married Robert R. â€śBobâ€ť Bogart, and he survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Susan Miller, of Wapakoneta; two sons, Douglas (Koi) Bogart, of Miamisburg, and Timothy (Jeanne) Bogart, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Jeff Ritchie (Kendra Southern), Greg (Nicki) Ritchie, S.F.C. Jason Bogart, Matthew Bogart, Steven Bogart, Thomas H. Miller, and Tabatha Sheely; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Schofield, of Lakes Wales, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Thomas G. Miller; a great-granddaughter, Ivy Sheely; three brothers, Winfred Harshbarger, Delmar Harshbarger, and Roland Harshbarger; and a sister, Ruth Ann Smyth.
A homemaker, Lois had worked at Production Credit Co., the W. T. Grant Co., and later retired from the McCormick Furniture Store, all of Wapakoneta. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta, and a 1939 graduate of Blume High School. Her hobbies included working puzzles, walking, and bicycling.
Services are at 10:30 a.m., Friday at First English Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Steven Nelson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
