Levies dominate May election
ST. MARYS — Voters in several school districts will see levies on the May primary ballot.
In St. Marys, voters within the school district are slated to vote on five-year, 6.8 mill renewal levy. Voters in New Bremen will vote on a renewal of a 1 percent income tax for operating expenses. County residents who live in the Botkins School District will vote on a renewal of a five-year, 2 mill permanent improvement levy, and those who live within the Indian Lake School District will vote on a five-year, 7.2 mill renewal and increase levy.
Countywide, voters will cast ballots on two issues. The Heritage Trails Park District will have a seven-year, 0.6 mill levy that will help fund its activities. The second measure is a Mental Health and Recovery Services levy that is for five years at 1 mill for operating expenses.
