Leo Ott, 81

Leo C. “Sonny” Ott, 81, of Botkins, died at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born July 14, 1930, in Auglaize County, the son of Louise (Schneider) and Andrew J. Ott, who preceded him in death. On March 10, 1951, he married Mary E. Norris, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Tina) Ott, of Sidney, and Lonnie (Kay) Ott, of Botkins; two daughters, Patricia Roller, of Sidney, and Kathy (Bill) Dowdy, of Lewistown,; 14 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, two great-great -grandchildren, three sisters, Martha (Charles) Schweitzer, of Quincy, Joann Ludwig, of Botkins, and Dolly Wilson, of Botkins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Long; a brother, Jim Ott, five brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
Mr. Ott retired in 1992 from Provico in Botkins after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, and gardening.
Services are at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Steven Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens near Moulton.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
