Larry G. Timmerman, 76, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:28 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born March 9, 1936, in Lima, the son of Bertha (Vordermark) and Eli Timmerman, who preceded him in death. On July 23, 1960, he married Sally L. Westbay, and she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Scott (Jill) Timmerman, of Columbus, Kyle (Shannon) Timmerman, of Wapakoneta, Keith Timmerman, of Wapakoneta, and Brett (Marla) Timmerman, of Lebanon; two daughters, Kim (Joe) Stanley, of Fayetteville, Ga., and Angie (Alon) Willett, of Sugar Hill, Ga.; 17 grandchildren, Jordan (Brack), Zach, Brooke, Jesse, Josh, Skyler, Kara, Ryanne, Kylie, Devan, Shelby, Dylan, Adam, Andrew, Chase, Drew and Trey; three great-grandchildren, Benton, Parker and Jeffery; and three siblings, LaRue Shoemaker, of Cridersville, Ted (Nancy) Timmerman, of Lima, and Helen (Lewie) Erb, of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Wibbeler, Ruth Berry, and Delores Burden; and 2 brothers, Marvin Timmerman and Bob Timmerman.
Larry retired in 1998 as store manager at Allied Supply Co. in Lima, where he had worked for 44 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta. He had served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. An avid reader, his other hobbies included golfing and fishing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
There will be no public visitation.
