Larry L. Jones, 74

Larry L. Jones, 74, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:43 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Lima. He was born on Feb. 13, 1940, in Lima, to Robert D. and Lodema G. Kaufman Jones, who preceded him in death.  He married Rebecca Rhodes on Dec. 26, 1970, and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Mr. Jones had worked for Ford and had served in the U.S. Air Force.  He was a member of VFW Post 8445 Wapakoneta and the Local UAW 1219.

Additional survivors include four sons: Roibin Jones, Mark Jones, both of Chillicothe, Rodney Jones of Waverly, Jeff (Theresa) Ruppert of Wapakoneta; two daughters: Lisa (Kevin) Lowe of Waynesfield and Kathy (Greg) Chambers of Marysville; 12 grandchildren, Derek (Amber), Devin Chambers, Shelby Ruppert, Jessica, Collin and Lynsey Lowe, Tori and Destiny Jones, Travis Jones, Robert Lebow, Stevii Neumann and Christopher Hasman; great-grandchildren: Leyton, Rozelyn and Gweneth Chambers; a brother, Harry (Linda) Jones of Shawnee, in-laws:  Kathryn Hedrick of Cridersville, Joseph (May) Rhodes of Shawnee and Chuck Rhodes of Cridersville. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post 8445.

He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Norma Jean Walsham.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m., Friday, March 7 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 8, with Pastor James C. Couser officiating at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Cridersville. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery.
