Kenneth Johnson, 56

Kenneth E. Johnson, 56, of Sidney, died at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born Oct. 22, 1955, in Lima, the son of Betty A. (Ruppert) and Roger G. Johnson. His mother survives in Wapakoneta, and his father is deceased. On July 26, 1975, he married Laura E. Engle, and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jamie L. (Ken) Rasmussen, of Wapakoneta, and Ashley A. (Andrew) Rogers, of Anna; a grandson, Cullen Thomas Rogers; a step-grandson, Andrew L. Rasmussen; a brother, Doug Johnson, of Cridersville; and two sisters, Kathy (Jim) Beste, of Wapakoneta, and Denise (Larry) Miller, of Wapakoneta.
Ken worked as vice-president of Operations at S.M.T. Industries in Sidney. He was a member of the Only Believe Ministries Christian Center in Botkins. He was also a social member of the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post 8445. He was an avid fisherman, but most especially enjoyed spending time with his family particularly his grandson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Only Believe Ministries Christian Center in Botkins, with the Rev. Peter Doseck officiating.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
