Julie Schaub, 51

July 15, 2011

Julie Diane Schaub 51, of Botkins, went to be with the Lord at 9:26 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011.
She was born Aug. 14, 1959, to Dorthy (Harpest) and Kenneth Clayton, who survive in Quincy. On July 23, 1977, she married Rick J. Schaub, who survives in Botkins.
Also surviving are four daughters; Belinda (Zac) Fonner, of Marysville, Michelle (Tyler) Argo, of Columbus, Brandy (Robert) Luckey, of Sidney, and Amanda (Brian) Chin, of Marysville; four grandchildren, Noah, McKenna, Robbie, Emily and a newborn anticipated on July 18, 2011; a brother, Matt (Darlene) Clayton; a sister, Lyra Williams; and 12 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents Tom (Louella) Harpest and Talmage (Bertha) Clayton.
Julie was a remarkable woman that will be remembered as a loving, devoted, and selfless wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She especially enjoyed traveling and time outdoors with her husband, having fun at home creating crafts and playing games with her children and grandchildren, holiday cooking, vegetable and flower gardening, and watching “I Love Lucy” and “The Andy Griffith Show” and caring for animals. Her love of animals was evident when she cared for pets visiting her kennel, Your Pet’s Country Inn, where she would treat each one as if they were her own. She has touched the lives of many and will live forever in our hearts.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Schlosser Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Wapakoneta.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Columbus Dog Connection at columbusdogconnection.com/donations%20in_memory_of.htm..
