Joe Pepple, 86

Joe R. Pepple, 86, of Waynesfield, died at 4:05 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at Otterbein-Cridersville.
He was born Oct. l, 1925, in Union Township, Auglaize County, to Gladys Irene (Day) and Colby William Pepple, and they preceded him in death. On Nov. 21, 1946, in Pandora, he married Agnes S. Burry and she survives in Waynesfield.
Also surviving are three sons, Ron (Marcia) Pepple, of Waynesfield, Bill (Nancy) Pepple, of Copley, and Fred (Kathy) Pepple, of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Karen Lehmkuhl, of Minster; 13 grandchildren, Dave, Chris and Ellen Pepple, Josh Ryland, Jackie Bonomo, Annie Ryland, and Doug, Allison and Julia Pepple, Ben, Kaitlyn, Amanda, and Rebecca Lehmkuhl; aand six great-grandchildren, Will, Kendall, Lea, Joey, Ali and Liam.
He was preceded by a daughter in law, Diane Pepple.
Joe was a member of Waynesfield United Methodist Church, Waynesfield Lions Club (life member), Wayne Lodge 569 Free and Accepted Masons, the Ohio Township Clerks Association, where he was past state president, and the Board of Directors of the former Farmers Banking Company of Lakeview. He had served as a Wayne Township Trustee then as the Wayne Township Clerk far a total of 31 years of service. He served on the Auglaize County Fair Board and sat on the Board of Directors of Auglaize Farmers Co-op.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Waynesfield United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Kathleen Hayes and Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Branch Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Waynesfield United Methodist Church, or the Waynesfield Area Community Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are under the directions of Armentrout Funeral Home in Waynesfield.
