Joan Earl, 79

Joan “Jo” Earl, 79, died at 6:43 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born Dec. 15, 1931 inDunkirk, to Mary Bell (Hebling) and Jonas Jasper Wheatley.
On June 18, 1950, in Harrod, she married Myron Kenneth “Kenny” Earl and he survives in Waynesfield. They just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.
Other survivors include, a son Randy (Dee) Earl, of Covington, Mary (Mike) Klenke, of New Hampshire; 4 grandchildren, Shawn (Deana) Klenke, Mandy (James) Barton, Eric (Tara) Earl, Adam (Jessey) Earl; 11 great-grandchildren and a special niece, Barbara Longbrake.
She was preceded by a son, Daniel Lee Earl; two brothers, Clifford and George Wheatley; and two sisters Eloise Keith and Margaret Huffman
Joan was a member of the Waynesfield Baptist Church, was a 1950 graduate of Waynesfield High School, and was a retired embroiderer from Holloway Sporting Goods, Sidney & Jackson Center, after 20 plus years. She was a member of the US Trotting Association and the Ohio Harness Association.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Waynesfield Baptist Church, with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Branch Cemetery in Waynesfield.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Armentrout Funeral Home in Waynesfield and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Contributions may be given in her memory to Friends of White Memorial Library, or the Tri-County Hospice.
